Support for Young People
Mikeysline is keen to provide a range of flexible and responsive supports to meet the current needs of young people and we always welcome feedback on how we can best meet needs.
What do we offer?
- A safe and confidential place to talk and be listened to for any issues that are causing you difficulties, distress or impacting your mental health
- 1:1 face to face appointments up to 45 mins per session with a support worker either face to face or online – Mondays to Sundays. We also provide 1:1 sessions in a number of Secondary schools in Highland.
- Young people’s service (11-25 years) at The Hive in Tain on Wednesdays between 4 pm and 8 pm
- Young people’s service (11-25 years) at our Hive at the Place in Alness High Street on Wednesdays between 4.30pm and 8.00pm.
- Appointments at both our Inverness Hive (7 evenings a week, 6.15pm-9.45pm) and our Nairn Hive (Wednesday evenings 6pm- 10pm)
- Access to our text-based options every evening, 7 days a week in addition to the above
- Support options may include supporting you to learn coping skills to help regulate your mood and emotions and signposting you to other groups/organisations that may be able to provide additional support
- We work in a number of schools providing 1:1 support during school hours.
At Mikeysline, we are keen to ensure that young people are aware of the importance of their mental wellbeing, that it is ok not to be ok and the importance of reaching out for support to talk through any issues at an early stage. We are keen to work with as many schools in Highland and Moray as we can help get these messages across and to support schools in their promotion of these messages.
