Business & Organisations

Let our team help your team

We work with businesses across the Highlands & Islands and Moray to promote awareness of accessibility to our support services and to reduce the stigma attached to conversations around mental health. Evidence has shown that a workplace with high levels of mental wellbeing will be far more productive than those without.

With a range of resources, contact options and meeting options we can provide you and your team with confidential, mental health workshops, and access to support through our referral forms. We do not charge for our services, we encourage donations, fundraising or displaying our logo at your workplace, all of which enable us to keep making a difference in mental health and suicide prevention.

Below is a list of just some of the teams we have worked with, where we have provided mental health workshops, increased awareness of our support services, and encouraged people to speak out when they need it the most.

Get in touch if you have any questions and let us find a way for our team to help your team

Boiler & Valve Engineering

Robertson Group

” Thank you for coming in to deliver the mental health sessions, they were well received, a few people have even opened up about their own struggles since. The impact these sessions have is invaluable but especially to men in our workforce”

Global Infrastructure

“Great presentation, sobering on the stats, good feedback from the guys in Skye who attended the first session. I have been out and about getting the Mikeysline information posted on sites noticeboards”

Inverness Go Karting

“Thank you so much for today, was great to talk things through and hear about all the amazing things that Mikeysline does. We have put out the posters and flyers to raise awareness of how to get in touch for support”

Springfield UK

“Thank you for running virtual sessions with our apprentices, they found them very beneficial and they interacted well with the content”

“We had the wonderful people from Mikeysline in today at work. These guys really are making a difference to people all across the Highlands & Islands and Moray with their professional and normal chat about mental health. Please get behind them and support them in any way you can”

Orkney Construction Training Group

“Thank you for coming over to Orkney and delivering sessions to our workforces on topics that really matter. We have put up posters to continue raising awareness at the sites”

Munlochy Women's Institute

“Thank you for coming in to talk to us today about all of the work that Mikeysline is doing. We were not aware that you were there for all ages. You really are making such a difference to people when it comes to mental health”

Teallach Restaurants

” Firstly, Sarah and I want to send a massive thank-you to Marina and Fiona for their excellent presentations to our staff yesterday. The session not only covered some really great coping strategies for some of the challenges the staff may be facing, but also gave awareness for signs to look out for when people need somebody to talk to and the services the Hive in Nairn provides. From speaking to everyone after the sessions, I think the biggest misconception prior to the talk was that that Mikeysline and the Hive is solely for emergencies when someone is suicidal

How to get your business involved in fundraising

“Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people” – Steve Jobs

Bee in the business of fundraising

Do you have a team that is overly competitive? Do you work in an office of coffee fanatics and cake lovers? Or do you have a business that is ready for a fun and exciting challenge, all while supporting a fantastic cause?

Then it’s time to consider hosting a team fundraising event that shines a light on your business’ greatest asset – your team!

Corporate charity of the year

If your business is thinking of supporting a charity this year, we’d love it if you would consider us. With such a hive of fundraising opportunities for you and your team to embrace, you can choose what, when and where to suit your business. Contact our team for more information on how to help and will be happy to assist with any queries you may have.

We can’t wait to see what you do, but if you’re looking for some inspiration check out our list of fundraising favourites…

It’s all about taking part

Competitiveness is part and parcel of the business world so why not embrace it in your fundraising efforts? You could form individual department relay teams and compete for the top spot in the office at a local marathon or perhaps compete to finish the Miles for Mikeysline challenge before the rest of your colleagues.

Or why not host a charity sports match between management and staff to decide who the real top dogs of the business are? For something a little more family friendly, you could also organise a team sports day with a range of events and challenges for all to enjoy.

Food for thought

Nothing helps us through the working day better than a cup of tea/coffee and some deliciously indulgent treats. With this in mind, your team could host their very own office bake sale or coffee morning. With some home baked favourites on offer, why not make things a little more interesting with a great business baker competition to decide who will be responsible for all the future office bakes?

Stick to the classics

Sometimes the olds ways are the best ways when it comes to fundraising events, so we’re going to throw it back to some traditional fundraising favourites. At the top of our list is a classic office bingo or staff quiz night for some lighthearted, competitive fun. Or why not hold a staff sweepstake or work raffle for the chance to win some goodies – maybe even an extra day of annual leave?!

All in this together

Not all fundraising events need to happen in the office, so why not organise a company picnic or fun day for all staff and their families? Not only will it be a fantastic opportunity to support a special cause, it will also be a great chance for team building, friendship making and spirit lifting across your business.

What it means to us

Every penny we earn through donations and fundraising goes into helping someone in need of a safe space and a kind ear to listen.

We are so grateful and constantly overwhelmed by the generosity and support we receive from businesses like yours. Without it, we simply couldn’t carry on providing the essential support that we do for people in emotional distress and with mental health issues.

We are a small charity and do not receive any statutory funding. This means we rely heavily on the generosity of donations, our volunteers, and everyone who fundraises for us.

By fundraising for Mikeysline, not only do you help raise vital funds that allow us to continue providing essential support to those in need, but you also help to raise wider awareness for our cause and to those who may need our support.

It’s in no small way that the fundraising work you do makes a huge difference to those we serve at their most vulnerable times and for that, we at Mikeysline truly thank you.
