Mikeysline “Hive on the Road” officially launched in February 2024!

Our converted Ford Transit van supports Mikeysline’s mental health and suicide prevention work including:

  • Breaking down mental health stigma, raising awareness of Mikeysline services and spreading our message of “it’s ok not to be ok”
  • Providing accessible mental health 1:1 support sessions to multiple areas throughout the Highlands, Islands and Moray. Our van conversion was designed to create a comfortable, welcoming safe space for these
  • Normalising conversations on mental health and networking throughout multiple communities #BeeTheChange

Wolfson Foundation

We have the Wolfson Foundation to thank for a very generous grant which allowed us to purchase the Hive on the Road transit van. Generous grants from McDonalds & The Community and West Fraser have also supported in the development and ongoing costs of the project, we are extremely grateful for these. 

From there we had Vulcan Van Conversions in Aviemore work their magic to provide a safe, warm space to offer one-to-one sessions in sometimes very remote locations. 

Mikeysline covers a vast area from Argyll to Shetland and from the Hebrides to Morayshire.

Since its launch, our Hive on the Road has visited countless locations throughout the Highlands, Islands and Moray area. Our aim is to reach as many as possible who may be struggling with their mental health. Our van is staffed with experienced peer support workers, meaning we can offer drop-in one-to-one sessions – no appointment is needed.

We are open to travelling to any location within our area so if you think your area would benefit from a visit by the  Hive on the Road, please contact us.

To raise awareness of our mental health support services, we often attend events and visit schools too.
